A NOTE ON THE WRITERS UNLEASHED Festival

Writers Unleashed is an entirely volunteer-run festival. For twelve years we have kept our festival running without the aid of arts or government funding or significant sponsorship, fuelled by coffee, passion, and friendship.

To ensure the long-term financial viability of the festival, and to avoid the burnout of our dedicated volunteer team, we have made the difficult decision to convert the festival to a biennial event.

This means the festival will run every two years, rather than annually. We look forward to 2025!

However, we will be bringing some online sessions to you in 2024, so keep an eye on our socials for more details.
